The Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament are committed to transparency and accountability rules regarding the use of their general expenditure allowance (GEA). This is separate from the MEP salary and expenses, and is to fund UK office costs, phone and IT costs and other activities undertaken by the MEP office. Gina’s GEA payments have been handled in a separate bank account and all unspent GEA will be returned at the end of the mandate. All monies have been spent and handled in line with the rules relating to GEA expenditure. An overview of expenditure by headline category is available on request.
